I think buying local foods is a great idea because you are not polluting by transfering the food places.

Something I could change about the way I live that would have a positive effect on the environment is having a garden or buying locally grown food. If everyone in Canada did this, then it would produce less carbon gases than if the food had to be shipped from countries that grows fruits and other food that Ontario doesn't.Also it would cut back on the use of gas (used to fuel the planes, ships or trucks that transport the food) and that would preserve natural gases (such as fossil fuels) needed to make gasoline.

I will conserve water by taking short showers and make sure that I turn the lights off when I leave a room to save electricity.

I would reduce those things that would reduce my housing footprint like energy efficient appliances, opening our windows in the summer so we don't have to us the air conditioning as much, and unplug small appliances when we're not using them.

If I could change somthing about the way I live that would have a positive effect on the environment, I would change my food source. Instead of going to the grocery store to buy my fruits and vegetables, I will shop at the local farmers market.

This is a worth while idea and I encourage you research these cars with your Dad. Can you think of something you could do by yourself to reduce your ecological footprint?

I would change how I get to school. Instead of having my dad drive me up the street to school every morning, we could save gas and not polute the earth by me walking to school every morning.

Mr. Broderick and I were discussing this very idea in our staff meeting. I wonder if there are ways we could encourage the older students to walk or ride bikes to school rather than ride the bus or accept drives? What do you think? Could our class promote this concept?

If more people were to think like you Malik and walk or bike to school then we would all reduce our carbon footprints and help save our Earth.

I will reduce my ecological footprint by using cold water in the laundry machine an putting solar to save energy. Also I might try
and eat food grown by small lot farm to support them because they are not polluting they are farming to help us and care for the enviroment at the same time.

On my Footprint it said we would need 6.45 earths for everyone to live my life style. If I were to change anything about my footprint, it would be turning off lights when I leave the room or when the sun can be used to light up the room. I would also take shorter showers and grow foods that I would need to eat in my backyard.

A few things i would change with the way i live is saving electricity and using less water. Examples of saving electricity are to unplug small appliances when not in use and make sure lights are off when leaving the room. To use less water i would make sure the tap is off when brushing my teeth and take less time in the shower.
